Finding Inspiration in Every Turn

Youth Night

The Hornbuckle Foundation’s youth program in Littleton, CO, is a beacon of creativity and support, offering an enriching experience every Thursday night. This program is uniquely designed to teach high-level art and music skills to young individuals, fostering their talents and passions. The foundation is deeply committed to suicide and addiction prevention, aiming to empower youth to become their best selves through the powerful mediums of music and art.

What to Expect

Music Nights (1st & 3rd Thursdays 6pm - 8pm): On these evenings, the air buzzes with melodies and rhythms as young participants learn various instruments like acoustic and electric guitars, bass, drums, vocals, piano, and percussion. Guided by professional musicians, these sessions are more than just lessons; they're an opportunity for the youth to connect, collaborate, and create as they learn to play popular hits together, functioning as a band. This not only enhances their musical skills but also fosters teamwork and camaraderie.

Art Nights (2nd & 4th Thursdays 6pm - 8pm): Artistic expression takes center stage on these nights. Participants delve into high-level painting techniques and craft projects tailored to upcoming holidays, such as making gratitude jars for Thanksgiving or candles for Mother’s Day. These activities not only refine their artistic abilities but also nurture creativity and self-expression, contributing significantly to their cognitive development and self-esteem.

Karaoke Nights (5th Thursdays 6pm - 8pm): Whenever a month gifts an extra Thursday, the program hosts a Karaoke night. This fun and engaging event allows the youth to showcase their vocal talents and enjoy a light-hearted, supportive atmosphere, further strengthening their confidence and social bonds.

Beyond skills training, the Hornbuckle Foundation’s youth program is a pillar of support for both youth and families during challenging times. It provides essential resources for addiction and mental health support, ensuring that the participants have access to the care and guidance they need. Through this program, the foundation not only nurtures artistic and musical talents but also plays a crucial role in enhancing the quality of life, happiness, and overall well-being of the youth in Littleton, CO.
